Settlin' Down

Well it has finally happened...I bought a house! I have enjoyed living on the family homestead for the past few years but the time has come for me to branch out on my own. So I have journeyed 4 miles across town to my cabin in the woods. I have been looking for a house since the beginning of the year and had a lot of ups and downs and some prospects that fell through but it all turned out ok and I am now settled on 1.5 acres on a quiet country road.

I have been slowly accumulating stuff (mostly from Grandpa's house, estate sales, thrift stores and the side of the road) but it's only 1,000 square feet so there's not a lot of room for "fine dustables". My kitchen is stocked from the old family motorhome (circa 1950s) so all my stuff is quite durable!
Below are some pictures of my humble abode.
I even have trails!

I will strive to maintain this blog about my travels but don't be surprised if a few DIY posts slip in there because there will be a lot of "after" pictures coming :)
